These are entry (Tier 1) salaries, paid whatever the car earns. Night work comes with paid health checks, transport to and from the handover, and the right to move to day shifts if a doctor recommends it.

Time for your family and your faith

Four days off in every eight is yours. Rest by design, not by luck.

Each shift is twelve hours, eleven of them paid. Your one hour of meal breaks is taken as two 30-minute rests, so you never drive more than five hours straight. Stay online on the app for at least nine of your eleven paid hours; the rest is for fuel, the wash and your reports.
04 · Earning more than your salary

Keep a share of every strong shift.

R1,000 a shift is the line. Across the month, your shifts need to average at least R1,000 each. That is the point where the car covers its own cost, and where your 31.8% share begins. The share stacks on your salary: your guaranteed salary stays, and the 31.8% is extra money on top. Drive efficiently and you keep a share of the fuel you save, too.

Have a slow month? Your salary is never cut.

If your average dips below R1,000 a shift, we put you on a track to get you back above it: a coaching shift with a top driver, a clear written plan with a mentor, and a review. Clear R1,000 and the track closes. Your guaranteed salary is never cut while you climb back.

The car and the petrol

A vehicle for your shifts, fuel on a card, and one daily wash. All paid by Fleetly.

Medical cover

Cover for you at R521 a month, a condition of the job. Add your family if you choose.

Life cover

Paid in full by Fleetly, about one year of your income, to whoever you name.

Paid leave

21 days paid annual leave, plus paid sick leave and family responsibility leave.

Night protections

If you work nights: paid health checks, transport, and a move to day if a doctor says so.

A wage the law protects

At or above the minimum wage for every paid hour, and never cut for a slow month.

If something goes wrong with the car, honesty costs you half. Report it before your shift ends and you pay only half the cost. If you were not at fault, you pay nothing. We only ever deduct what the law allows, never more than 25% in a month, and never below your wage.

Fleetly is not trying to keep you. The job is the beginning, not the destination.

Most drivers arrive with a credit record no bank will finance. Permanent employment is what changes that. A written contract, a payslip every month, UIF, and a salary that arrives whether the car had a good week or a bad one: those are the things a lender looks at, and they are exactly what an informal driving arrangement can never give you.

  1. You are employed

    Permanent, full time, on a guaranteed salary. Fleetly provides the vehicle and pays the petrol. You pay nothing to start and you do not need a car of your own.

  2. You clear what you owe

    A salary you can count on is what makes a repayment plan possible. This part takes the longest and it matters most.

  3. Your record rebuilds

    Month by month, on paper a bank can read. Payslips, a contract, a clean payment history.

  4. You finance your own car

    In your own name, through a bank, on your own credit record. Not through Fleetly.

  5. You graduate out

    You own the thing you drive and you no longer need an employer to put you behind a wheel. That is the point of all of it.

What this is not

It is not a scheme and there is no fixed date on it. How fast you get there depends on what you owe, what you put away and how you work. Fleetly does not finance your car and does not stand surety for it. What Fleetly gives you is the employment record that makes bank finance possible, and people who will sit with you while you build it.

Shares in Fleetly

Fleetly intends to establish an Employee Share Option Plan. It is not established today and it gives you no share, no option and no entitlement now. A term sheet goes to the board, and every driver is told the outcome in writing either way.

10 · Common questions

Things drivers ask before applying.

Do I need my own car?+
No. Fleetly provides the vehicle, pays the petrol, and covers insurance, tracking and maintenance. You pay nothing to start. If you already own a car and want to put it into the fleet rather than drive for us, that is a separate programme: Manage My Car takes a 2023 or newer Suzuki Dzire, Swift, Celerio, S-Presso or Toyota Vitz and pays the owner R7,700 a month for 12 months.
Can I own a car through Fleetly?+
Yes, and here is the order it happens in. You are employed first. On a guaranteed salary you clear your debt and rebuild your credit record. When your record can carry vehicle finance, you buy your own car, in your own name, financed by a bank rather than by us, and you no longer need an employer to put you behind a wheel. It is not a shortcut and it is not immediate. It starts with a job. Fleetly does not finance your car and does not stand surety for it.
How does my pay work?+
You earn a guaranteed monthly salary (from R5,741 at entry, depending on your pattern), paid whatever the car earns. On top of that, you keep 31.8% of everything above R1,000 a shift, plus a share of the fuel you save. Everything is paid monthly into your own bank account with an itemised payslip, so you always see exactly how the number was reached.
What are the shifts and hours?+
Twelve-hour shifts, eleven of them paid, on a four on, four off roster (about 15 shifts a month). Choose day, night, or rotating. You are never rostered for more than 44 paid hours in a week, and you take two 30-minute breaks so you never drive more than five hours straight.
What if I have a slow month?+
Your salary is guaranteed and is never cut. If your monthly average dips below R1,000 a shift, we put you on a short track to get you back above it: a coaching shift, a written plan with a mentor, and a review. It is support, not a pay cut.
Which vehicle will I drive?+
In most cases a Suzuki S-Presso, economical and easy to drive. Depending on availability and your performance you may be assigned a Suzuki Dzire, Ciaz, or Ertiga. Every vehicle is fully licensed, insured, regularly serviced, and tracked. You are assigned a specific vehicle during onboarding.
What happens if there's an accident or damage?+
The vehicle is fully insured. Not your fault: you pay nothing. At fault, reported honestly before your shift ends: you pay only half. Concealed: you pay the full amount and it is treated as serious misconduct. Any recovery is capped at 25% of pay in a month and never takes you below your wage.
How long until my first shift?+
Typically 5 to 10 days from application. The fastest start: have your licence, PrDP, and Uber profile ready to send through on the screening call. The longest delay is usually waiting for a document, so the more sorted you are upfront, the quicker you're on the road.
